The Poetry of War

Presented by Friends of Snow Library, Lifetime Learning at Snow Library

The Poetry of War:  Wednesday, October 21st, 1:30 - 3:00.   Neil Silberblatt, poet, author, founder of Voices of Poetry and host of Poets Corner at WOMR and WFMR, will be focusing on the two World Wars and the Civil War.  He will present a selection of poems written or inspired by military conflicts from ancient Troy to contemporary Afghanistan.  In this first session, Mr. Silberblatt will concentrate on Poems of Glory -- those of the Civil War, "the empire," and World War I.  Students will enjoy reading and listening to the selected poems and an inter-active discussion.
