"Africa: Its Wildlife and People" is a new collection of images by photographer, Julia Cumes.

She writes:

Having spent my childhood in South Africa, I began an early love affair with Africa and with the wilderness. Some of my most vivid memories are of lying awake at night listening to the roar of lions accompanied by a string quartet of cicadas, imagining the secret nighttime rituals happening outside in the dark.

Although I left South Africa many years ago, I have found myself drawn back to Africa over and over again as a photographer.  The images selected for this show are some of my favorite moments both from the wilderness and from my projects focused on people.
