Art on the Edge is a FREE Saturday art program offered by the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) for youth 11-14 years old. It meets over two, ten week semesters, Saturdays, 10:00-1:30pm, October 10-December 19 and January 9-March 26. Students work with professional teaching artists and explore a variety of media, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, comic books, sculpture and drawing. Up to 24 students may participate each semester and can apply for one or both semesters. Thanks to grants and donations, all instruction, materials and transportation to and from the program are supplied free-of-charge. (Bus picks students up starting in Harwich at exit 10 Park and Ride.) Classes take place in the museum school and galleries, and, weather permitting, may take place outside, near the museum. The program culminates with an exhibition and reception in the museum’s galleries in March. To apply, contact Lynn Stanley, lstanley@paam.org, 508 487 1750x13 or go to www.paam.org/education/youthregistration/ for an on-line application.
