Acupuncturist Diana DiGioia will be discussing her professional work in the field, when acupuncture is most effective, and the current movement to make the practice more available to the general public.
Sturgis Library Presents Community Acupuncture with Diana DiGioia
There’s plenty of data supporting wider inclusion of alternative modalities such as acupuncture in our health care system. What’s been lacking in most cases is a way to pay for them.
Licensed Acupuncturist Diana Di Gioia has been an activist in the movement for affordable, community style acupuncture clinics for more than ten years. She’ll discuss her experience in her own clinic, areas in which acupuncture is most effective, and the work being done, both locally and nationally, to broaden access to treatment. She’ll also give an acupuncture demonstration and answer your questions about acupuncture treatment.
Admission is free, but registration is appreciated. Call the library at 508-362-6636, email sturgislibrary@comcast.net, or register using our website.
