Explore the world of cranberry farming on guided tours of a bog and museum exhibit.
The Harwich Historical Society and Gingras Cranberries have teamed up to present “Cranberry Farming: Harwich Then and Now” with guided tours of the museum exhibit that displays an extensive collection of historic photos and faming implements followed by a tour of a working cranberry bog. The cranberry bog is located off of Oak Street in Harwich Center; it is approximately seven acres of bog completely rebuilt in over the 2001-2002 season. The original bog dates back over 150 years and was known as Dyers Pond Bog. It is now operated by Gingras Cranberries.
$5 adults; $2 kids and students; registration is recommended as space is limited.
