Monotypes and Monoprint Workshop

Make one of a kind prints using water soluble inks and learn new techniques. Learn the possibilities of connecting drawing, painting, and printmaking while creating new works with new methods and approaches. Learn about the unexpected that can mysteriously happen in monoprint and monotype (yes, there is a difference).

Monotype is ideal for the painter who would like to step away from the easel and try creating a new approach.

No experience necessary.

All printing materials will be provided:(Inks, brayers, plates,newsprint)

archival print paper will be available for purchase (one piece will be provided by instructor per student)

Materials fee $30 included in price of workshop.

Student list: small rags, pencils and sketches, scissors,rubber gloves, folder or portfolio to take home prints.
