Exploring Methods and Materials

Exploring Methods and Materials

Presented by Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) at Provincetown Art Association and Museum

Drawing materials such as charcoal, pastel, colored pencil and graphite can create effects from ultimate drama to soft and subtle, detailed realism to expressively abstract. This drawing workshop offers an opportunity to explore multiple subjects with a variety of drawing materials. Through practice, experimentation and manipulation we will learn how these materials can work to capture what we see and how we see it.

Michael Gillane is an artist and educator who earned his BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and his MFA from Pratt Institute.
