CLASSIC MOVIES THAT STILL MATTER

"These classic films still matter because they dramatize and describe human conditions which are universal and arestill  relevant today"- Gerald Garnick.

 One Thursday a Month Beginning August 31 at 6 pm

Five outstanding films deemed to be great classics of this artform have been chosen by self-described film aficionado Gerald Garnick to be shown at Cape Cod Museum of Art.  They will be followed by a lively discussion led by Garnick and/or a guest host.

The first film is:

August 31 – Now. Voyager – starring Bette Davis & Paul Henreid – A frumpy spinster blossoms under therapy to become an elegant, independent woman.  One of the most romantic films ever made.

Followed by:

September 21 – Dead Reckoning – starring Humphrey Bogart & Lizabeth Scott

October 19 – High Noon- starring Gary Cooper & Grace Kelly

November 16 – Laura – starring Gene Tierney & Dana Andrews

December 14 – Casablanca – starring Humphrey Bogart & Ingrid Bergman

$40 for the whole series.   Individual showings: $12, $10 for CCMoA Members

This series is part of the ARTfull Thursdays program.  The galleries are open and free to the public from 5 to 8 pm.
