The 12th Annual Castle Hill “Paints the Race”

The 2015 Castle Hill “Paints the Race” on Thursday, September 10th invites artists and visitors from Cape Cod and the Northeast to participate in an extraordinary, unique opportunity to: “Paint the Race” from a whale watch boat (the Captain John) during the Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta Race. Throughout the three and a half hour cruise that is the highlight of this event, participants are invited to join prominent Provincetown artists as they paint the schooners during the race.

Join the best venue in town to watch, take photos, paint or just hang out and be on the water. The deck of the Captain John offers a unique vantage point that not only captures the drama and excitement of the regatta, but also provides a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get close enough to paint even the crew members in action. This will allow tourists and residents alike to have a truly distinctive cultural experience as they create art or watch art being created before their eyes, carrying on the tradition of the many artists who have graced Provincetown since the late 1800s. 

This event is held in conjunction with the Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta Race.
