Poems About Aging: A Workshop with Barry Hellman

Poems About Aging: A Workshop with Barry Hellman

at Cape Cod Poetry Group

A reading and discussion of poems that explore how aging is experienced in later life at mental, emotional, physical, interpersonal, and spiritual levels.

The discussion will be based on the work of a variety of poets.

Optional: if you’d like, bring 12 copies of a poem (yours, or one published by someone else) on this theme and we’ll discuss it along with the group of sample poems provided.

We’ll talk about the poems in terms of content, art, and craft— and there’ll be the option of writing a first draft of a poem about aging and presenting it for discussion and feedback.
