This class will begin with a short demonstration of the Ikebana form Moribana in which flowers are arranged asymmetrically in a low bowl (suiban) with water visible. A workshop will follow during which participants will create their own Moribana arrangements. Simplicity, harmony and naturalism will be emphasized using a few, basic rules. It’s fun, and anyone can do it! All necessary materials, including pin cushion holder (kenzan), low container, and floral materials will be provided. Participants may take this home with them after the workshop.
