The Falmouth Cultural Council seeks grant proposals from organizations as well as individuals for exciting and community engaging projects in the areas of arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences. Each year, The Massachusetts Cultural Council allocates grant funds to all city and town Cultural Councils for distribution as local grants.

Falmouth, like many Massachusetts towns, is home to a vibrant arts community and the Council is looking forward to fielding innovative proposals to continue that vibrancy.

Applications must be postmarked by Thursday, October 15. Funding is for events/works that take place in the calendar year of 2016.  Priority is given to Falmouth area artists and organizations that serve Falmouth's residents.

The application is easy compared to many grants.

Application forms and additional information, including local guidelines about applying are available online on the Falmouth Cultural Council page at the Massachusetts Cultural Council website at http://www.mass-culture.org/Falmouth . Paper applications are also available at the reference desk of the Falmouth Public Library and the main desk at Falmouth Town Hall. Information will also be shared on the Falmouth Cultural Council’s Facebook page.

Potential applicants with questions are invited to bring them to the next Falmouth Cultural Council meeting at 6 PM, Monday, September 14th at Town Hall, in the Small Conference Room. Please be reminded that this time is allotted for questions about grants and the grant process and is not intended as an opportunity to pitch specific proposals.
