An informational conversation with art historian, dealer, collector, and auctioneer James Bakker. Utilizing the Annual PAAM Consignment Auction exhibition, discussion will include a few key pieces including insider details straight from the auctioneer! Which pieces are the stars of the auction? Are there potential collection-starters? Price estimates, condition reports, and your questions will covered.

James Bakker is curator of The Bakker Project; owner of the Bakker Gallery; and has been a professional auctioneer for over 36 years. He attended Harvard University where he developed an interest in the fine arts. Bakker is President of the Provincetown Art Association and Museum and a contributing author for the catalogue to accompany the New Britain Museum of American Art’s landmark exhibition, Tides of Provincetown, Pivotal Years in America’s Oldest Continuous Art Colony, He has curated numerous museum exhibitions and authored articles for the New England Antiques Journal, Provincetown Arts and American Art Review among others.
