Woods Hole Film Festival

Woods Hole Film Festival

Presented by Woods Hole Film Festival at Old Woods Hole Fire Station

As the oldest film festival on Cape Cod and the Islands, the Woods Hole Film Festival has been a leader in promoting the films and careers of emerging, independent filmmakers, especially those with ties to New England and Cape Cod and the Islands. Ninety-five percent of the 132 films screening in and out of competition—submitted from everywhere from Mashpee to Martha’s Vineyard and South Africa to Sri Lanka—are by first-time filmmakers, with nearly 30 films featuring connections to the area. Many filmmakers are also returning to the festival with their newest films.

The festival is supported in part by grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Falmouth Fund of the Cape Cod Foundation, the Cape Cod 5 Foundation, and the Woods Hole Foundation. Festival sponsors include Celebrity Cruises, Falmouth Chamber of Commerce, iCape Solutions, innerglow yoga/Cape Cod Yoga School, and Talamas Equipment. Media sponsors include The Enterprise, WBUR’s The Artery, Cape Cod Broadcasting, and MVYRadio.
