New York Pop Artist & Author Michael Albert will be bringing his famous "Modern Pop Art Experience" program & Cereal Box Collage workshop to Cotuit Library as part of our Summer Reading Program. This will be his first visit to Cotuit! He is especially excited & honored to have the opportunity of sharing his art & story with a new community. The Summer Reading Program is one of his preferred venues.

At Albert’s 2-hour program all participants are invited to meet the artist, hear a short presentation by the artist about his life & work, view a collection of prints of his handmade masterpieces, and then create their own collage in his style using the same materials he likes to use, namely the printed cardboard packages of consumer products (including but not limited to Cereal Boxes, which are his favorite!) Attendees are encouraged to bring their own materials, including, but not limited to, cereal boxes.

Finally, all participants will receive a special art gift, compliments of the artist. They can each pick one of a selection of about 20 of his self published limited edition prints which he will give out & sign for FREE as a special thank you for attending. All teachers & art educators who attend will receive an additional free poster to bring back to their schools. Don’t miss out on this creative event!
