The Cape Cod Writers Center Conference is one of the oldest broad-based writers’ conferences in the nation. This year’s CCWC Conference takes place August 3-6 at The Resort & Conference Center in Hyannis, MA.
The four-day conference will feature Keynote Speaker Barbara Shapiro, author of the New York Times bestselling novels The Art Forger and The Muralist. Feature courses include; “Forensic Investigations,” taught by Michelle Clark, a Medicolegal Death Investigator; “Poetry and the Political Landscape” taught by Danielle Legros Georges, Boston’s Poet Laureate; and “The Ethics of First Person Narration” by Richard Hoffman, Senior Writer-in-Residence at Emerson College.
Beyond the twenty-eight courses in writing, promotion, and social media, participants can register for agent advice on query letters or request a manuscript mentoring session. Attendees will also have an opportunity to pitch their books, participate in critique sessions, engage in lunchtime roundtable discussions, and read their works in evening gatherings.
