Come to a summer concert featuring Peking and The Mystics, a dynamic a cappella group of five Tufts University graduates who have been singing wonderful harmonies since 1973.
Peking and the Mystics was formed by alumni of Tufts University and its a cappella singing group, the Beelzebubs. Over the years, PATM has toured nationally and internationally, including trips to the Far East and South America; recorded three CDs and is in studio working on its fourth; appeared on television and radio programs; and has been featured in the print media. The group's eclectic repertoire, comprising original arrangements by PATM members themselves, features vintage vocals from such genres as swing, jazz, doo wop and pop music, representing every decade from the 1890s to the 2000s.
The band features Gene Blake, Andover, MA, on tenor 2; Andrew Cranin, Brewster, MA, on baritone 1; Chris Parker, Ipswich, MA, on bass; David Pratt, Wellesley, MA, on tenor 1; and Tim Vaill, Andover, MA, on baritone 2.
This event will take place on Thursday, July 13th at 7 PM. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
