WALLACE NUTTING AND THE COLONIAL REVIVAL MOVEMENT

Presented by Cahoon Museum of American Art at Lexicon Gallery

The Cahoon Musuem of American Art announces it has received a loan of works from the collections of Kenneth and Sharon Lacasse. The collection entails a large selection of bench-made Wallace Nutting furniture, Wallace Nutting photographs, iron, books, treenware, and other Wallace Nutting memorabilia.   The exhibition covers the life and accomplishments of this historically significant man.

Tuesday, September 15, 2pm - Gallery Talk by Charles T. Lyle, Executive Director of Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum,  Wethersfield CT who will speak about "Wallace Nutting: Preservation Pioneer"
 
Tuesday, September 22,  11am - Tour of the exhibition by Kenneth and Sharon Lacasse

The new temporary location of the Cahoon Museum of American Art is located at 30 Bates Rd., Mashpee Commons.  Hours are 10am to 4pm   Tuesdays thru Saturdays and 1 to 4 pm Sundays.  Admission is Free.  More information can be obtained by calling (508) 428-7581 or rwaterhouse@cahoonmuseum.org
