The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce kicks off summer with its 9th Annual Quahog Day celebration on Wednesday, June 21 at Blue Water Resort in South Yarmouth. The free event will feature live music, courtesy of local steel drum band Pans in Paradise, and a guest appearance by NECN meteorologist Michael Page who will serve as this year's emcee. The highlight will be regional mascot Doug the Quahog's summer prediction. He will be joined by his Quahog Security Detail and his human sidekick, Captain Johnny Quahog, aka The Secretary General of the Quahog Republic, who will translate Doug's prognostication for all to hear. 

The festivities begin at 2 pm. So come witness history-in-the-making as part of this family-friendly event centered around Cape Cod's beloved weather-predicting bivalve.
