Michael Todd, Jr’s Holiday in Spain (1961 Cinerama Inc./2013 Cinerama Inc.) “A mystery novelist, played by Denholm Ellitott, discovers a plan to murder an American heiress, played by Beverly Bentley, while on vacation in Spain. He enlists the help of a local taxi driver to travel across the Spanish countryside in order to thwart the crime. Directed by noted cinematographer Jack Cardiff.  The screenplay was adapted from the 1947 novel Ghost of a Chance by Kelley Roos, the pen name of husband and wift mystery writers, Audrey Kelley and William Roos. Today’s Holiday in Spain (aka Scent of Mystery) was lost for over 50 years, but has now been digitally remastered by film historian David Strohmaier.” – Randy Gitsch

The film is famous for being the movie that was filmed in “Smellovision” – different scents like perfume, cigar smoke, etc. wafted through the theater at corresponding scenes.
