The Cahoon Museum of American Art presents a retrospective exhibition of American contemporary folk artist, Elizabeth B. Mumford. The Art of Elizabeth B. Mumford, celebrates Mumford’s classic tableaus and introduces her new watercolors. Liz Mumford’s whimsical paintings of New England scenes and seaside life reflect the simple pleasures and traditions of our American heritage. Mumford has a large following and is well-known for her art on Cape Cod and the Islands and throughout New England. Curated by Cahoon Museum director, Sarah Johnson, the exhibit features seventy original paintings. It opens to the public on Wednesday, May 3 and continues through Sunday, June 25.
Admission: general $10, seniors and students $8, free to members and children under 12.
