Naturescape Gallery presents Photographer Christopher Seufert

Presented by Cape Cod Museum of Natural History at Cape Cod Museum of Natural History

Naturescape Gallery at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is proud to present Chatham photographer Christopher Seufert exhibiting Cape Cod & Islands: A Drone’s View June 1 ~ July 31, 2017.

Christopher Seufert has been shooting aerial photos and video since 1992 and for the past few years he’s been using drones as a licensed commercial unmanned vehicle pilot.  With drones come the opportunity to shoot more intimate aerial photos, to shoot at no cost in gas or plane, to access hard-to-reach areas more easily, and to shoot scientific images such as LIDAR (which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, is a remote sensing method that uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to measure ranges (variable distances) to the Earth) and Thermal Imaging.  This exhibit is a selection of images from his upcoming book of the same name, published by Schiffer in the fall of 2017.

Chris lives with his children in Chatham, where he grew up and now operates his multimedia company Mooncusser Films LLC. He specializes broadly in lifestyle, portrait, wedding, aerial, and landscape photography.  He regularly shoots cover and editorial assignments for the magazines of Cape Cod and New England and freelances for the Cape Cod Chronicle and Cape Codder newspapers.

Chris is also the author of six hard cover photography books including The Cape Cod National Seashore: A Photographic Adventure & Guide (Schiffer, 2012), Cape Cod & Islands Reflections (Schiffer LTD, 2010) and also two landmark Chatham photography books: Chatham Views: A Photographic Journey of Chatham, Massachusetts and Chatham by Air: Aerial Photos of Chatham, Cape Cod.
