BECOMING A FEARLESS PAINTER: DON'T BE A DRIP with Odin Smith

BECOMING A FEARLESS PAINTER: DON'T BE A DRIP with Odin Smith

Presented by Cultural Center of Cape Cod at Cultural Center of Cape Cod

Join Odin in a series of sessions of 4 week classes devoted to working in a smaller and more intensive learning environment, to improve specific artistic skills. In the June session, we will be exploring the use of dripping and pouring paint as a way of creating effortless natural elements in a painting as well as how to incorporate them into abstract pieces if you so choose.  Learn how to move and direct the paint to achieve beautiful trees, plants and other "realistic" subjects that look natural and more interesting then any brush work could ever do. Students must have their own acrylic supplies and they may bring any mediums they may want to try. Please bring a spray bottle with clean water in addition to your supplies and a portable easel if you need one, tho much of the actual work can be done directly on the ground, or leaned up on a tree or something.  This will be messy and we will be holding it out doors on the Cultural Center's grounds, so please dress appropriately.
These classes will help artists to become more confident in their own skills and bring a sense of self and creativity to their own work. Taking risks will be encouraged! Must be on an intermediate to advanced level, and must have their own supplies.
