Betsy Payne Cook paints exclusively with pastels, and is honored to be a Juried Associate Member of the Pastel Society of America and Signature Member of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod. Betsy is also acknowledged as a Juried Master Artist at the Cape Cod Art Association. She is the newest member of  the South Cape Artists. Betsy's paintings depict her impressions of the landscape and its abundance of colors. She paints both en plein air and in her studio. Her work is represented by Gallery Artrio at 50 Pearl Street in Hyannis but is also frequently on exhibit at the Cape Cod Art Association, Falmouth Arts Center, Marion Arts Center, and seasonally at Woodruff Art  Gallery in Mashpee Commons. Betsy participates in local and national juried exhibitions and has won numerous awards, including Best in Show for “Cold Night Out” at the "For Pastels Only on Cape Cod 2013" National Juried Exhibition.  Her pastels have also been accepted into both the Pastel Society of America's National Exhibition and the International Association of Pastel Societies Exhibition. Betsy is on the faculty of  the Falmouth Arts Center and teaches pastel and painting classes and workshops.
