The Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod (PPSCC) is pleased to offer aspiring artists who are graduating in 2017 or have graduated Cape Cod high schools in the past three years the opportunity to participate in the 2017 Scholarship Awards Program. The PPSCC grant will include a scholarship of $500-1000 in the form of a gift certificate for the purchase of art supplies, a set of artist grade pastels, and the opportunity to exhibit a work of art at the PPSCC Annual Members Show in the fall of 2017.

Applicants who plan or will continue to study a visual arts related field at the postsecondary level are invited to apply for this award. Interested student artists are asked to return the following for consideration by the Scholarship Committee:

• Completed application form
• Recommendation of teacher, counselor, or school administrator
• 5 examples of artwork saved as JPG labeled with applicant’s last name and title
• One page applicant statement to include art background and experience and future aspirations to pursue visual arts
• Submit completed application materials electronically by May 1, 2017.
