IMAGE-MAKING: Discover Your Voice and Vision

IMAGE-MAKING: Discover Your Voice and Vision

Presented by Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) at Provincetown Art Association and Museum

You will cut, tear, fold, glue, monoprint found objects, make poems and collages, and explore new ways to see and interact with what you have made. You will discover exciting possibilities, inherent in the book form, as you design in time and space. As you move back and forth between intuitive play and careful consideration, you will be astonished at what you do, even if you have never made a poem or an art object. You will learn to trust your own creative process by diving in, even when you can’t predict where it will take you. You will energize your creative self in deep and lasting ways. In the final two sessions, you will put together a unique and surprising hand-made book, using what you have accumulated during the week as raw material, as well as the personal themes you have discovered.

IMAGE-MAKING is great for anyone who wants to explore something new: beginners as well as experienced artists and writers. It is a breath of fresh air for teachers of any subject. Often family members take this workshop together.
