The Paul Broadnax – Ted Casher Quartet  features Paul Broadnax (vocals, piano), Ted Casher (clarinet, saxophone), Marty Ballou (bass) and Les Harris, Jr. (drums). Mr. Broadnax has been a mainstay on the jazz scene since the 1950s and has performed with nationally recognized jazz artists Clark Terry, Joe Williams, Cab Calloway and many others. Clarinetist and saxophonist Ted Casher has performed with a wide range of jazz artists including the Glen Miller orchestra, the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Louis Armstrong, and Aretha Franklin. Rhode Island bassist Marty Ballou also has an unusually wide range of musical credits. He toured with The Ritz, a jazz vocal group, the Duke Robillard Band, Room Full of Blues, and countless jazz and folk groups. Mr. Ballou has made several Falmouth appearances and is well known in jazz circles on Cape Cod. Les Harris Jr.’s father was a well-known Boston drummer, and the younger Harris sat in with top jazz musicians from the time he was a teenager. Following in his father’s footsteps, Les Jr. has performed with prominent jazz artists Clark Terry, Phil Woods, Milt Jackson, Harry Allen and many others.
