Wildly talented, impossible to describe and thoroughly engaging, Michael Holt is not a "new" artist by any stretch, but rather a highly accomplished touring and recording artist who has performed with a variety of groups since the 80's. However, for many of you this will be an introduction to a true original who has strong ties to the Outer Cape but has quietly flown under the musical radar here. We are delighted to host Michael as part of our Bright New Stars concert series at the Hall!

For tonight's special showcase, Michael will perform an intimate, unpredictable, interactive, theatrical, and totally unique one-man variety show using multiple instruments, moods, costumes and characters. He weaves together covers of Dizzy Gillespie, Bob Dylan, Prince, and Fela Kuti with his own Beatlesy pop tunes on the guitar, quirky art songs on the piano, and Fellini-esque lounge music on the organ. The show finishes with a dreamy, candlelit set of original classical pieces from his new album 24 Preludes for Piano.
