ONE + ONE is an opportunity for artists who have shown at A gallery to seek out and invite another artist who has not shown at A gallery, perhaps not in Provincetown and ideally not shown at all to participate in an exhibition of  pairs. ONEs and + ONEs. This takes place during the week of the International Encaustic Conference in Provincetown.

As artists we are teachers, mentors, leaders. We are not competitors. We yearn to have our work shown. We want others to respond to our ideas - expressed in this case through the medium of wax. We want them to like it, to love it, to be moved by it and to learn something about our world and about themselves.

This exhibition began as a means to have more International Encaustic Conference members be on the walls. In the process another factor has come into play. Just by asking another artist to pair up and by the other agreeing to play, there is a presence in both works of both artists.
