World Class Cello Concert to Benefit Outer Cape Health Services

World Class Cello Concert to Benefit Outer Cape Health Services

at First Congregational Church of Wellfleet

Join us for the annual Play it Forward: Legacy of Bernard Greenhouse Cello Concert, featuring acclaimed cellist, Dane Johansen, accompanied by pianist, Noreen Cassidy-Polera. The concert carries on the tradition of Bernard Greenhouse, an internationally acclaimed cellist, and founding member of the Beaux Arts Trio. Mr. Greenhouse continued teaching and playing until he was in his 90s.  Beginning in 2005 and continuing until his death in 2011, Mr. Greenhouse was the driving artistic force behind the annual concerts held in Wellfleet that feature formers students and thus carrying on his legacy of presenting world class cello music. Proceeds benefit the rebuilding of the OCHS Wellfleet health center.

Claude Debussy - Sonata for Cello & Piano
Robert Schumann - Funf Stucke im volkston
Bela Bartok - Rhapsody No. 1 for Cello & Piano
