This 12th annual fundraiser to benefit  the educational programs of the Thornton W. Burgess Society and its Green Briar Nature Center will be held this year at The Ridge Club in South Sandwich, a wonderful facility for this gala event.  The gala begins at 5:30pm with a cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres.  Guests are invited to view and bid on the silent auction items or dance to the music from the American Songbook.  A Cape Cod buffet opens at 6:30pm with entrees created by the club's chef followed by an excellent dessert fashioned from jam products provided by the Green Briar Jam Kitchen.  A live auction takes place following dinner, and there will be more dancing to end the evening.  Tickets are $90 per person and may be purchased by phone with credit card or by mail.  For more information, call 508-888-6870.
