Zoe Lewis, Natalia Zukerman, and Cathy Grier, in Concert!

Presented by Cultural Center of Cape Cod at Cultural Center of Cape Cod

3 stellar songwriters—Zoe Lewis, Natalia Zukerman and Cathy Grier—deliver a delicious mix of slide guitar, rootsy blues, world-beat grooves, old time swing, yarn spinning and lots of laughs. Zoe Lewis is affectionately known as “the band in a body.” She plays jazz, jump jive, Latin grooves, swing, international folk, funk originals on anything from the piano to the spoons! This dynamic performer is originally from England but now resides in Provincetown. She's traveled the world and toured with Judy Collins, Richie Havens and Nanci Griffith. She's written music for film, has just finished Snail Road, her first musical. Most recently, her songs have been appearing on Broadway. Her latest recording is A Cure for the Hiccups. Rich Warren, WFTM Chicago, says, “An amazing, modern-day Noel Coward.” Zoe—on vocals, piano, guitar, uke, etc.—will perform with Cathy Grier and Natalia Zukerman. In addition to performing her own shows of original music, Zukerman has played lap steel, bass and/or guitar alongside Janis Ian, Susan Werner and Willy Porter, toured collaboratively with fellow artists Garrison Starr, Louise Taylor, Erin McKeown, Sam Baker and John Fullbright, with her art.is.song art and music project comrade AG (Adrianne Gonzalez), with percussionist and vocalist Mona Tavakoli (Jason Mraz, Raining Jane) and with her annual holiday group Winterbloom (Antje Duvekot, Anne Heaton, Meg Hutchinson). Cathy Grier is a singer-songwriter who began in biker bars in CT, then moved on to Greenwich Village NYC, touring the east coast with her band, sunset gigs in Key West, Paris songwriting, and beyond. Socially conscious in not only her songwriting but in her stage presence, she captivates audiences with her clear and powerful voice that edges into folk-blues territory. Grier is also known as NYCSubwayGirl where she has been performing in the program "Music Under New York" since 1999 and has created her video series Inspiration Project found at NYCSubwayGirl.com.
