The Frank Wilkins Quartet returns to Woods Hole Community Hall, May 13th, 7:30 PM. Tickets are $20. The quartet features Wilkins on piano, Bobby Tynes on sax, Sergio Ballotti on drums and bassist Dave Zox. A Woods Hole favorite, Wilkins grew up playing in churchs and he brings a gospel and blues feel to his music. He has performed with jazz luminaries including Tyron Davis, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kevin Eubanks, and Lavern Baker. Saxophonist Bobby Tynes first performed in Woods Hole with Semenya McCord, and then with Wilkins, Stan Strickland, and Herb King at a summer jazz camp organized by King at Community Hall in Woods Hole. He has performed with jazz greats Danilo Perez, Etta Jones, and Alan Dawson among others.  Rounding out the quartet for this evening of swinging jazz are Dave Zox on bass and Sergio Bellotti on drums.
