In each of the paintings that are included in Part II of Kenneth Hawkey's 2016 exhibit, we know there is a back story, a history, not just “historical” but more personal, that something has just happened behind a door, on the other side of the window, just off to the side. Hawkey doesn’t just capture a moment, he suspends us between moments and makes us wonder. An opening reception with the artist will be on August 26 at 7pm. The show will be exhibited through September 6.
