Join Odin in this series devoted to working in a smaller and more intensive learning environment, to improve specific artistic skills.
In the August session, our focus will be on painting waves. Students will learn how to paint water that is churning, curling and moving by using subtle value and tonal changes. They will be exploring the rhythms in moving water and how to paint it like it is actually flowing in towards you. The use of layering will be addressed as well as other ways to use acrylic paint to create fabulous results that become alive with motion!
Fearless use if paint encouraged. Feel free to bring in any interesting things you may want to try. We may be doing some outdoor painting on the premises so as to be able to be free with paint application. Taking risks will be encouraged! Must be on an intermediate to advanced level, and have their own supplies. This class meets in Odin’s Studio on the second floor in the Education Wing.
