CREATE YOUR OWN CARTOON CHARACTER

In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn to draw the cartoon characters currently living in your imagination!Terry will help you to discover the family of characters you are imagining and put them on paper.We will look at emotions, personalities and life forms (is your character a human, an animal or an object?)If you have a sketchbook, pencil and fine black marker – bring them along. Otherwise supplies will be available for you to use.If you have some drawings of cartoons you’ve already done, bring them along to share with us!

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

Terry Kole is an illustrator and teacher.Her career has taken her from Detroit, where she had her own cartoon strip and was a daily illustrator for the Detroit News, to some of the most beautiful cities in Europe: Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam and Vienna.

She illustrated college level books while in Brussels, and created info graphics for the Associated Press from her home office in Paris and Amsterdam.

While in Vienna she had a booming cottage industry painting slates with international themes and she taught cartooning at the American International School of Vienna.She now spends much of her time illustrating children’s books and teaching teens art in Plymouth and the Cape.
