Artist Talk at 5:00pm  About the ExhibitsArt Synergies - "Exposure: Beneath the Layers" The members of ArtSynergies probe the theme of exposure with all the nuances of interpretation and individual artistic styles. The creative process is fully explored by new works and varied experimental techniques of the eight artists: Mary Doering, Barbara Ford Doyle, Amy Heller, Martine Jore, Sara David Ringler, Alan Trugman, Lee Connolly-Weill and Joyce Gardner Zavorskas. Each uses digital imaging as one of many methods for making art, expanding on the definitions of collage, montage, andmixed media.   Explore Art:The Journal Project -"Keys: Connecting"    Lenore Lyons is a mixed-media artist who fills her work with color and energy. Lenore is passionate about living life artistically and inspiring others to explore their creative selves. She loves making art journals and finds them to be an accessible entry point for developing creative expression. Art that may present a change in point of view is her trademark; she sees connections in life more than differences. Lenore views keys as a great connector of people over time and space. She has been given keys from all over the United States, Canada, Central America, Europe and Asia.  Some keys are old and have been handed down through generations, a few have never been used. Keys are objects that recall vivid memories and inspire powerful concepts.  Lenore’s latest project links keys and art journals. This exhibit will feature The Key Idea™ a community art project, in collaboration with the Cape Cod and Islands Art Educators. People ages 1-100 have responded to the challenge of selecting a used key, drawing it, then writing about what it might open, start or do. Viewers will have the opportunity to see the development of art, writing and creative thought as the pieces will be grouped by age and arranged sequentially. Community art pieces will be accepted through August. View samples of The Key Idea™, participation details and more at her website, ExploreArtTheJournalProject.com   Join in, be part of the project.
