September 5 When a bunch of actors, directors, and playwrights walk into an empty theatre, there's going to be a play. Usually, there have been years, or at least months, of work leading up to that day: playwrights agonizing, directors dramatizing, designers conceptualizing, producers maneuvering, marketers tempting, actors chop-honing.  On September 5, about three dozen theatre artists will meet as a group for the first time, do all that, and present six new short plays to a jam-packed house the following evening. We call it thePlayPen, and it's no place for the weak. Saturday, September 5 at 7:30pm
