2nd Wednesday Theater: Sordid Lives - A Black Comedy about White Trash

Presented by Cotuit Center for the Arts at Cotuit Center for the Arts

Sordid Lives by Del Shores is billed as a "a black comedy about white trash."  The story starts when Peggy, a good Christian woman, hits her head on the sink and bleeds to death after tripping over her lover’s wooden legs in a motel room.  It leads to chaos erupting in Winter, Texas!  Presented by Jo Brisbane. A note from the playwright to the executive director: "Whether it's a reading, a production or just fans quoting Brother Boy or Sissy or Juanita lines, I'm just always grateful that so many keep my characters from Winters, TX alive and well. I wish I could be in Cape Cod for 2nd Wednesday Theater to see Cotuit Center for the Arts on Cape Cod staged reading of Sordid Lives. Thank you David, thank you cast and all who work to keep live theatre thriving. My advice? Tell the truth and have fun!"  -Del Shores Bitsy Mae Harling – Kim Frager Mitchell (guitar playing ex-con singer)
