Martha Klein (Martha Gedeck) rules her kitchen, her colleagues and her emotions with stainless steely precision. She is a headstrong and obsessive chef, who learns just how emotionally starved she has become when called upon to provide a recipe for comfort and nourishment not found in any larder.
