An exhibition of paintings by the long-time Wellfleet residents, Virginia Ward Mills and E. Andrew Mills will open on Monday, April 25 at the Wellfleet Preservation Hall, 335 Main St. There will be a reception Saturday, May 14 from 4-6pm, followed by “Love is Blind: Music Inspired by Amy Winehouse”, featuring Nauset High graduate Emily Wade Adams (see http://wellfleetpreservationhall.org/index.php/wellfleet-preservation-hall-events/wellfleet-preservation-hall-performances). The exhibition will be on view through Sunday, May 29.
Virginia Ward Mills (1930-2010) and E. Andrew Mills (1928-2007) exhibited extensively throughout their lives, especially in the Capital District of New York State and on the Cape, at institutions including the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Cape Cod Art Association, Cove Gallery, and in their Wellfleet studio. They loved to show together, and had more than forty solo and two-person shows from the mid-1960s until 2007.
