Birds of Prey and Native American Artifacts

at Heritage Museums & Gardens

Explore the strong connection between raptors and Native Peoples during this exciting program presented by WINGMASTERS combing live birds of prey with authentic Native American artifacts. WINGMASTERS is a partnership between Julie Anne Collier and Jim Parks, licensed raptor rehabilitators who care for injured birds of prey and who are dedicated to increasing public understanding and appreciation of North American birds of prey. Julie’s heritage is part Creek and Chickasaw, and her collection of museum-quality Native American objects illustrates how Native cultures transformed natural materials into objects of beauty and drams such as shields, headdresses, clothing, and jewelry. Please reserve your tickets in advance as we do anticipate that this event will sell out.
