"From Memoir to Movie" with Author Joan Anderson

Presented by Hyannis Public Library at Hyannis Public Library

The Hyannis Public Library will honor mothers and Mother’s Day by presenting a talk by author Joan Anderson on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 6 p. m. called “From Memoir to Movie.”  This program is free and open to the public.

New York Times best-selling author Joan Anderson has written many popular memoirs including An Unfinished Marriage; A Walk on the Beach: Tales of Wisdom from an Unconventional Woman; and A Year By the Sea: Thoughts of an Unfinished Woman.  These three books have been turned into a feature film called “A Year by the Sea,” shot on Cape Cod and scheduled to be released in April of 2016.  Join us as Ms. Anderson shares with us her insights about the process of living, and about having her own life experience transformed into a movie.

Ms. Anderson has been a newspaper reporter, written children’s books, and co-authored books helping families gain in control of television and computer habits.  A “scholar of self and soul,” she currently conducts women’s retreats all over the world.

Do not miss this chance to celebrate the spirit and wisdom of Mother on May 11 by attending this BookTalk at the Hyannis Public Library!

Copies of the author’s books will be available for sale and signing.
