Join us this Thursday, May 5th for a free reception, backstage tours of the Cape Playhouse, and a preview of some of the historic items to be included in the upcoming Cape Cod Museum of Art exhibition, 90 Years of Summer Theater: The Cape Playhouse and the Straw Hat Circuit. You'll have an opportunity to explore the Museum's 35th-Anniversary multi-gallery tribute to Harry Holl, and then walk, pedal, drive or coast over to the Cape Playhouse to get a rare personal backstage tour of The Playhouse's inner workings.  Playhouse tours start at 5:30, 5:45, 6:00, and 6:15 pm from the front entrance of the Playhouse. Reception and exhibit preview will run continuously from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Museum. 

We'll have a free drawing back at the Museum, including: four tickets to The Last of The Red Hot Lovers (a comedy at the Playhouse from June 7-18), Friends of the Theater family membership, a free Museum Membership, Guild Membership, Gorey House Membership and more. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will also be served throughout the evening, we'll have a Playhouse trivia game, and Museum docents will be available to answer questions about the Museum.

90 Years of Summer Theater; The Cape Playhouse and the Straw Hat Circuit opens at the Museum on June 30th and runs through August 10th. The exhibition will reflect on the Playhouse's legacy as America's oldest summer theater, home of the stars, and an original member of the Straw Hat Circuit of summer stock theaters.
