Featured poets include Ben Berman, Patrick Donnelly, Audrey Henderson and Mary Kane. There will be a limited open mic and sign up is at 2:45.

Ben Berman’s first poetry collection, Strange Borderlands, won the 2014 Peace Corp Writer Award for the Best Book of Poetry and was a finalist for the 2014 Massachusetts Book Award. Ben has also received awards from the New England Poetry Club and from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. He teaches at Grub Street Writers in Boston.

Patrick Donnelly’s books are The Charge (Ausable Press) and Nocturnes of the Brothel of Ruin (Four Way Books), a 2013 finalist for the Lambda Literary Award for Gay Poetry. In 2013 he received a U.S./Japan Creative Artists Program award for a 3-month residency in Japan during 2014. Patrick is director of the Poetry Seminar at The Frost Place, and an associate editor of Poetry International. With Stephen D. Miller, Patrick is co-translator of the Japanese poems in The Wind from Vulture Peak: The Buddhification of Japanese Waka in the Heian Period (Cornell East Asia Series). http://www.patrickdonnellypoems.com

Audrey Henderson’s first book of poetry, Airstream, was published by Homebound Publications. She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and was the recipient of a 2014 Hawthornden Fellowship. She has written frequently for BBC Radio Scotland and published a short story, Tales to Tell. Her poetry has appeared widely in both Britain and the United States. She lives in Boston, and is a member of the Jamaica Pond Poets. http://www.jamaicapondpoets.com.

Mary Kane is the author of two chapbooks, She Didn’t Float (Harlequin Ink) and After We Talk About the Recent Deaths of Our Parents and about Compassion as Handled by Chekhov (Casa de Cinco Hermanas Press), as well as a full-length collection Door (One Bird Books). Her poems have appeared in numerous journals and on Poetry Daily. She received her MFA from Vermont College and teaches writing at Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
