In this class, children will be introduced to a variety of clay techniques through teacher-guided projects. Each session will focus on using different hand-building techniques, such as pinch pots, coil building, and slab building, to create unique, beautiful, and sometimes silly works of art. Possible projects include coil castles, animal rattles, and face mugs. At the end of this 6-week class, each child will have a collection of completed, fired, and glazed ceramic masterpieces. Children should come to class ready to get dirty and think outside the box. Please dress appropriately. Materials List: All materials will be provided.
