This is a six week class.

This class is for all levels and all mediums. 

Experiment with different sizes and shapes of palette knives to create a variety of textures. Learn to use texture and color mixing directly on the canvas to create a dynamic painting. 

Students will choose their own subject for painting. They may work from photographs and/or nature (they may work on the grounds surrounding the Art Center). Each session will end with a group critique.

Dan Hanagan attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He is a professional artist, art instructor, and curator at the Guild. He is a former Board member of the Guild.

Materials List:
- a photograph or image you would like to paint
- a hard surface to paint on like masonite/canvas board
- oils or acrylics
- various sizes of palette knives

REFUND POLICY:
Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds. 
The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.
If Falmouth Public Schools are closed due to weather conditions, we will be closed and the missed classes will be rescheduled.
