Naturescape Gallery presents "Native Plants" with photographer Hans Rilling

Presented by Cape Cod Museum of Natural History at Cape Cod Museum of Natural History

Naturescape Gallery at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is proud to present “Native Plants” by Cape Cod nature photographer, conservationist and biochemist, Dr. Hans Rilling from March 5 – March 31, 2015.
In the cause of conservation, Hans served on the Boards of two chapters of the Audubon Society as president, vice-president and treasure and it is his passion for the natural world that is captured in his stunning images. “Photography has always been an interest of mine. I bought a second-hand Exacta VXII when I was in graduate school and have played with SLRs and a variety of lenses ever since. I especially like macro and close up photography and have filled shoe boxes with slides and prints. I never processed images. Recently, I was captured by the instant gratification of digital photography. For me, the hard drive has replaced the shoe box and the desktop has become an exciting tool for image manipulation.
Just as the “prosumer” camera occupies the gap between consumer and professional models, I hope to bridge the gap between snapshot-level and professional photographer: i.e., I would like to be a “snographer.”
