Calliope, a Community for Poets, will stage its next reading on Sunday, February 8 from 3 – 5 PM at West Falmouth Library, 575 West Falmouth Highway. Featured poets include Jennifer Tseng, Audrey Henderson, and Mark Hart. Open mic sign-up begins at 2:45. $5 suggested donation.

Mark Hart's first collection, “Boy Singing to Cattle” won the Pearl Poetry Prize and was a finalist for the 2014 Massachusetts Book Award. His poetry has appeared in the Atlanta Review, Chatauqua, RATTLE, The Spoon River Poetry Review, and numerous other journals. Raised on a wheat farm in the Palouse region of eastern Washington State, he now lives in an apple orchard in Western Massachusetts. He is a psychotherapist in private practice, a Buddhist teacher, and a religious advisor at Amherst College.

Audrey Henderson's writing is rooted in her early life on the edge of Edinburgh, Scotland. Her first book of poetry, “Airstream” was just published by Homebound Publications. She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and was the recipient of a 2014 Hawthornden Fellowship. She has written frequently for BBC Radio Scotland and published a short story, "Tales to Tell." Her poetry has appeared widely in both Britain and the United States. She lives in Boston and is a member of the Jamaica Pond Poets.

Jennifer Tseng is a poet and fiction writer. Her first book, “The Man With My Face” won the 2005 Asian American Writers Workshop National Poetry Manuscript Competition and a 2006 PEN American Center Open Book Award. Her latest book, Red Flower, White Flower was the winner of the Marick Press Poetry Prize. Her debut novel, Mayumi and the Sea of Happiness, is forthcoming from Europa Editions. She is currently the Jack Kerouac Writer-in-Residence at UMass Lowell and lives and works on Martha's Vineyard.
