Sandwich Glass Museum-Special Exhibit: Common Scents - American Cologne & Perfume Bottles

Presented by Sandwich Glass Museum & Historical Society at Sandwich Glass Museum

The Sandwich Glass Museum is proud to present an exhibit "Common Scents. " Housed in the Museum's Special Exhibition Gallery dozens of scent, cologne and perfume bottles manufactured by American glasshouses in the 19th and 20th centuries will be on display as well as a selection of European bottles for comparison.  Featured in "Common Scents" are the commercial bottles produced by American glasshouses, as well as the often one-of-a-kind bottles crafted today by contemporary glass artists.  Eash is appreciated for the skill and craftmanship of those who made these small works of art and for the contents they once held.  This is a truly remarkable collection of exquisite cologne bottles in a variety of vibrant colors, unusual shapes and intriguing patterns.
